Before this job and the previous one I was in part time work which allowed me to spend time with Elizabeth.

Elizabeth had swimming lessons and learned to swim at my local gym.  I then gave h er the opportunity of doing competitive swimming like I did once.    Elizabeth did not wish to stick at this any longer as this involved training several  times a week.  Unfortunately this stopped but I continued to take her regularly over to my gym where they had indoor/outdoor pools.  During school holidays there was a bowling facility and we used to go to this. 

As a child contrary to what is written in the files I believe Elizabeth was happy – no signs of abnormality with her behaviour.

Whilst being divorced and in part time work I could not provide holidays but Elizabeth did not miss out as she would go with other family members on holiday and would go to some very nice places, namely Grand Canaria, Spain etc.    One year I took Elizabeth to see her Grandad’s family in Poland, her Grandmas family in Germany and then onto Disneyland Paris.

During the school holidays, I would take Elizabeth to Chessington and Thorpe Park. 

Xmas I would go to town on making Xmas nice for her.

Despite being divorced things were amicable.   There was no fighting or squabbling as to who would have Elizabeth – she got to see both of us and was taken out by both of us at weekends.   I would also take her to see the museums in London  – the occasional long weekend was very nice and I would go to Cumbria where I had a close friend.  On the way back we went to Alton Towers.

Apart from swimming which Elizabeth gave up,  someone else in the family was doing dancing and so I asked would Elizabeth like to do dancing?    Attached to my gym was a new school for dance that had been set up and I went out and bought the entire ballet outfit for Elizabeth.  That did not last either unfortunately.  Then Elizabeth asked for piano lessons and I put her in for this – again she did not last and she seemed to have trouble in learning as things were becoming more and more complicated.

Elizabeth had private lessons in IT when it came to my notice she was struggling with this at school.

Elizabeth was learning French at college and later Swedish as she had the trip of a lifetime to go to in Finland. 

Just before this trip I went out to buy lots of clothes for Elizabeth as I thought things would be freezing in Finland during the month she was going out there.  Finland was one of the highlights of my daughter’s life and she so wants to go back there.  I have heard there is unique care for mental health in a place called Torniio and now I myself want to go there to find out more.

Elizabeth worked in restaurants as part of her studies – she has a great time and made a friend there who I later invited to come over with her sister and Elizabeth got invited to say with her friend’s family.

Elizabeth liked sport and I encouraged this.  She was going to the special olympics training and every Sunday I would take her along with people from the learning disability scheme  nearby.  Elizabeth was very very good at running and joined a local running club  in addition.

All of these activities involved me taking her and bringing her back home.  I would either sit and watch or else hang around until the end of the session.

On Sundays when I had her I would take her to church and she was involved in the Brownies.

Elizabeth likes music – however not the kind of music I would go for.   She went to concerts and I took her to see shows.

Every weekend I would cook dinner and Elizabeth would help as she enjoyed cooking.  That was her ambition – to go into this line of work.

Elizabeth loves animals and I had rabbits and guinea pigs and then the guinea pigs had babies – she was overjoyed at this.

I have now bought for Elizabeth Fluffy and she has requested I bring him to the hospital – I do not think this would go down well at all.  I am already not in their good books.

Then Elizabeth made a new friend at school and started to spend more time in that friend’s company and not at home.  When this friend came round they would spend time together playing the piano/writing lyrics.

I was by this time quite involved in the care of two other family members who were very ill but I was happy as I thought that she was safe and happy and just getting on with her life.     

I am most concerned that organisations like the CQC do not properly investigate matters allowing abuse to continue.

For instance a patient may be covered with bruises all over her face and you ask for an explanation and get nothing in return.  It could be innocent but on the other hand how did the bruises come about and how do they force someone to take a drug they do not want – is that person pinned down and strapped to a bed or do a crowd of staff corner that patient pinning them down and forcing them to have an injection – is this what goes on? 

As for the CQC, the rating system where many places are rated as excellent is wrong in my opinion.    People can be wrongly influenced when they see “Excellent” under the ratings when in fact it is the complete opposite. 

I do not know how often they send their inspectors to look at complaints but things need to be a lot stricter and anyone can go into a mental health institution/ward and see it during the day and come away satisfied but what goes on behind closed doors!    I have witnessed some bad things, staff ignoring patients, a patient bring dragged by members of staff, patients complaining that their rights are not being listened to in many cases.

If a patient refuses a drug whilst on a treatment order then what!  I would like to hear what really goes on behind closed doors.

If the law backs these psychiatrists without making them accountable to give full scientific evidence then that is a breach of human rights in itself.   BEFORE a psychiatrist can proceed with the enforcement of drugs I believe they need to show full proof and this does not just involve blood tests or observations.  The fact is that there are no tests that can prove anything and so really these poor patients are used as human guinea pigs for experimentation purposes.  Noone speaks out as the nusing staff would otherwise lose their jobs.  The likes of my daughter now under their control provide work and money to the pharmaceutical industry. 

No matter how good a specialist hospital is rated, there are huge risks involved when you tamper with medication and the fact is this Consultant Psychiatrist has taken her off a large amount so he said he was going to and from what I have heard has mixed this with another drug that has the highest suicide rate according to Professor Healy’s research.  All I have done as a mother is to speak up for my daughter and have said that once off the drugs I would have her home again as I believe the drugs were the cause of her behaviour.  Yes I would have her home but I do not think that is the best solution as she will need to be independent and cannot depend on me as a mother for the rest of her life.   Having said that, if you take someone off the drugs too quickly like this then they can go downhill several months down the line.  This is the sad fact – withdrawing from these drugs needs to be done very very carefully and should be done under professional help and to stay off these drugs, you need to do it over a very long period of time and very slowly and gradually.  I am not a doctor but I believe this is the case as I have seen failure at first hand because of too steep a withdrawal twice before.

Once on a treatment order noone tells you anything but I have found that the case anyway even before, though I am nearest relative you get no information and even when you have a signed consent form giving consent for information to the family, they discount this and refuse you to have sight of the files by saying that the patient has changed her mind or – there is a mistake on the file and that is despite signing in front of the whole family.   They disallow you to see the files and have any real information and this is so very wrong. A patient drugged up to their neck is also not likely to ask for their files or be strong enough to defend themselves against the team.

The fact is though things could still come back on this team as something could happen to make them accountable and my blog is a very honest one –  I am deeply concerned for my daughter’s life right now because of the amount of medication one psychiatrist after another put her on at local level and the Maudsley are continuing with this experimentation and not giving any information but what when someone dies –  then there has to be an investigation and as in the case of another family member  which I cannot speak about right now,  I would want a full and huge investigation God forbid this happens to my daughter.  A psychiatrist at local level admitted the drugs are given on a trial and error basis.

The last things said to me were “GET ME OUT OF HERE” –  she is not happy there –  none of the patients look happy in fact – the fact that there is such tight security says it all –  they keep patients in like prisoners so they cannot go missing and surely anyone would want to escape from this.  However, Elizabeth was willing to remain until such time a more suitable placement could be found. 

The other thing said to a nurse during my last visit was “LEAVE US ALONE – I WANT TO SPEND TIME WITH MY MUM BY MYSELF”.   I did not encourage Elizabeth to say this at all.  At the same time a patient can turn against you as being the closest person as they blame you for “PUTTING THEM IN THE SITUATIN WHERE THEY ARE IN – LIKE ELIZABETH BLAMES ME FOR PUTTING HER INTO THE ROYAL BETHLEM AS SHE IS UNHAPPY THERE.  IN FACT THIS WAS THE ONLY THING ON OFFER – I HAD IN FACT ASKED FOR THE WONDERFUL CAMBION FOUR STAR WARDS – THIS IS REALLY WHAT I WANTED.

YES MY VIEWS ARE STRONG ON THE DRUGS AND THIS IS WHY THE TEAM DO NOT LIKE ME AS THIS IS THE MAIN TREATMENT UNDER THE NHS BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT I WOULD ATTEMPT TO GET MY DAUGHTER OFF THE DRUGS M YSELF AS I AM NOT A DOCTOR AT THE END OF THE DAY.   ALSO I AM NOT ADVISING MY DAUGHTER TO TAKE HERSELF OFF THE DRUGS AT ALL.  I AM NOT TELLING MY DAUGHTER TO STOP TAKING THE DRUGS OR INFOUENCING HER THERE AS I KNOW THAT NOW SHE IS ON THAT ORDER THEY CAN JUST DO WHATEVER THEY LIKE WITH MY POOR DAUGHER AND SO THE SOONER SHE GETS OUT AND IS TRANSFERRED TO A NICE PLACE THE  BETTER FOR ME AS THE WHOLE THING IS AFFECTING MY HEALTH. 

WHY PUNISH HER IN SUCH A NASTY WAY TO GET BACK AT ME BECAUSE THAT IS HOW I SEE IT.   IT IS OF NO BENEFIT TO ELIZABETH THAT SHE IS NO LONGER ALLOWED OUT TO THE PARK, TO RESTAURANTS, CINEMA OR CHURCH EVEN IN MY COMPANY AT THE WEEKENDS AT A TIME WHEN THERE IS NOTHING WHATSOEVER GOING ON  .  ACTIVITIES ARE HELD DURING THE WEEK BUT AT WEEKENDS THERE IS NOTHING – I SEE THIS AS EXTREMELY CRUEL AND WRONG THAT MY DAUGHTER SHOULD BE PUNISHED BECAUSE OF ME AND I FEEL SO GUILTY SHE IS THERE AT THAT HOSPITAL, ROYAL BETHLEM WHERE I TRULY BELIEVED THEY WOULD RESPECT AND HELP HER.

IN THE COURT PAPERS IT SAYS THAT CLOZAPINE HAS BEEN REFUSED BY THE PATIENT BUT THAT THIS WOULD BE CONSIDERED TREATMENT IF SHE DID NOT RESPOND TO CURRENT TREATMENT OR WORDS TO THAT EFFECT.

CLOZAPINE – VOLUNTARILY WITHDRAWN BY THE MANUFACTURER IN 1975 AS IT WAS SHOWN TO CAUSE AGRANULOCYTOSIS – A CONDITION INVOLVING A DANGEROUS DECREASE IN THE NUMBER OF WHITE BLOOD CELLS THAT LED TO DEATH IN SOME PATIENTS.  HOWEVER THE FDA GIVES FIVE BLACK BOX WARNINGS FOR AGRANULOCYTOSIS, SEIZURES, MYOCARDITIS FOR “OTHER ADVERSE CARDIOVASCULAR AND REESPIRATORY EFFECTS.  CLOZAPINE IS USED AS A LAST RESORT IN PATIENTS WHO HAVE NOT RESPONDED TO OTHER ANTI-PSYCHOTIC TREATMENTS DUE TO ITS DANGER OF CAUSING AGRANULOCYTOSIS AS WELL AS COSTS OF HAVING TO HAVE BLOOD TESTS CONTINUALLY DURING TREATMENT.   THIS IS WHAT ELIZABETH DID NOT WANT TO HAVE.  SHE IS STILL TALKING ABOUT THE ABUSE SHE SUFFERED IN THE FIRST INSTANCE AND HAS NOT GOT OVER THIS.  WHY CANT THE NHS SEE THE FACTS – A PATIENT NEEDS COUNSELLING NOT DRUGS.  WHY DO THEY CONTINUE TO ABUSE MY DAUGHTER IN THIS NASTY WAY, CONTROLLING TO SUCH AN EXTENT I CAN NOT EVEN SPEND TIME IN TAKING HER TO CHURCH AS THEY HAVE IMPOSED STRICT ORDERS THAT I B E ESCORTED EVERY WHERE WITH HER AND THERE IS NOONE TO ESCORT HER DURING THE WEEKEND. 

I WANT A FULL ACCOUNT OF THIS ON MY BLOG AS IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO MY DAUGHTER I WANT A FULL INVESTIGATION AND HUGE PUBLICITY LEADING TO CHANGES IN THE MENTAL HEALTH SYSTEM SO THAT NOONE ELSE GOES THROUGH WHAT I AM GOING THROUGH.

IN SHORT THEY HAVE DESTROYED MY LIFE –  THEY HAVE TAKEN EVERYTHING FROM ME.  

I AM JUST A MOTHER BUT ALL I WANT IS FOR MY DAUGHTER TO BE HAPPY.  I HAVE BEEN TREATED LIKE A COMMON CRIMINAL AND MY DAUGHTER STRIPPED OF HER HUMAN RIGHTS – IT IS TERRIBLE WHAT IS GOING ON AND THE FACT THAT NOTHING IS DONE ABOUT IT.

A PRISONER WOULD APPEAR TO HAVE MORE RIGHTS THAN A MENTAL HEALTH PATIENT AND THIS IS SO VERY WRONG.

SURELY IT IS ENOUGH FOR THIS TEAM THE FACT THAT  ELIZABETH MAY WELL NOT RETURN TO THE LOCAL AREA AND I AM MORE THAN HAPPY WITH THIS AS THE CARE IS APALLING BOTH UNDER THE NHS AND SOCIAL SERVICES.   THE PLACES SHE WOULD BE POSSIBLY SENT TO ARE A FAIR DISTANCE AWAY FROM HOME AND I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO SEE HER MUCH AND ALSO SHE WOULD BE UNDER MORE TEAMS HOWEVER THERE IS ONE PLACE I HAVE HEARD OF THAT REALLY RESPECT PATIENTS THAT HAVE SUFFERED ABUSE AND THIS IS THE PLACE I WANT HER TO GO TO AND THE SOONER THE BETTER.

ALL I AM WORRIED ABOUT NOW IS THAT THE TEAM WILL TAKE IT OUT ON  MY DAUGHTER AS NONE OF THEM LIKE ME BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN SO OUTSPOKEN.  SURELY SENDING HER TO A MUCH NICER AND PEACEFUL ENVIRONMENT WOULD BE THE BEST OPTION THAN KEEPING HER LOCKED UP AS A PRISONER, INFRINGING ON HER HUMAN RIGHTS BY NOT EVEN ALLOWING HER OUT TO CHURCH WITH ME AT THE WEEKENDS. 

WHAT A DISGRACE THE SYSTEM IS THAT ALLOWS SOMETHING LIKE THIS TO HAPPEN.  UNLESS A PATIENT IS AT RISK FROM A RELATIVE THAT IS EITHER UNDER DRUGS OR HAS SEXUALLY ABUSED THAT PERSON OR IS VIOLENT – FOR THESE REASONS YES THERE SHOULD BE RESTRICTIONS BUT I HAVE HAD EVERY CHECK DONE ON ME THROUGH A POLICE APPLICATION AND HAD TO GIVE UP TRAINING BECAUSE OF MY PERSONAL SITUATION WITH MY DAUGHTER WHEN I APPOINTED THE ORTHOMOLECULAR PSYCHIATIRST.

 I received a letter from the CQC assuring me that my complaint and issues were being referred to their compliance team for consideration.

I believe there needs to be changes to the above Mental Health Act 1983 as patients can get abused as it stands.  There needs to also be changes to the complaints procedures and investigations so that in serious cases individual cases get investigated properly.  If things are not looked at on an individual basis and when a local team is doing nothing to address serious matters then how are things ever going to get improved.

As it stands the Mental Health Act 1983 allows a detained patient to be given medication WITHOUT thei consent in certain circumstnaces.  While you are detained under the ACt your psychiatrist is authorised to give you medication WITHOUT your consent for up to 3 months after you were given medication.  At the end of that 3 month period and you still do not wish to take your medication your psychiatrist must contact the CARE QUALITY COMMISSION who will arrange for you to be seen by an independant doctor.  This doctor will consult with your psychiatrist, a nurse and another member of staff who is not a doctor or nurse but who is professionally involved in your care.  ONLY IF THIS INDEPENDENT DOCTOR AGREES THAT THE MEDICATION IS NCESSARY CAN IT BE GIVEN TO YOU THEREAFTER WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT.

This does not protect some people who have multiple diagnoses in their files that conflict with one another – no medication has worked because they  have been the victim of terrible crime such as rape or have been abused and instead of giving decent care like counselling which addresses these issues that person is given drug after drug after drug – the drugs themselves cause psychosis and have the same effects as LSD. 

The Law and the whole system is geared up to protecting the doctors and professionals involved and does give due care or consideration for a vulnerable patient who may in the first place have had no serious mental illness but could have suffered a breakdown caused by trauma for instance which, given time and counselling, could have been resolved by more humane treatment without plying drugs after drugs.   Unfortunately, the majority of doctors believe in these drugs and they do not care about the long term health of the patient who can suffer all sorts of serious effects such as diabetes, lung, heart problems.

These professional doctors are open to abusing a patient’s rights – the law unfortunately is 100% on their side and they are not made to be accountable from what it would appear and there is nothing in place for a helpless and vulnerable patient to defend themselves with.  Many patients are weakened y the effects of the medication and their families are too stressed out themselves to speak out and of course some familiies turn their back on a person who is not behaving in a good manner – they believe these professionals when they say it is caused by their condition, however I could see instantly that the drugs were the factor in Elizabeth’s case and having done my research I AM RIGHT.   Many patients die as a result of enforced drug treatment and this is why I am conducting this blog as I fear for my daughter’s life right now.   SHE IS CURRENTLY BEYOND HELP NOW AND UNDER THE CONTROL OF THE TEAM WHO ALL STICK TOGETHER.   I BELIEVED INITIALLY THAT THE DOCTOR HIMSELF WAS THE ONE IN CHARGE THERE BUT THE TEAM  ARE STICKING BY THIS DOCTOR WHO HAS NOT GIVEN ANY EVIDENCE AS TO HIS FINDINGS AND PROOF OF HER CONDITION AS THE TEAM ARE STICKING WITH ONE LABEL WHEREAS ANOTHER HIGHLY QUALIFIED EXPERT HAS GIVEN ANOTHER LABEL.

THE LABELLING OF PATIENTS IN ITSELF IS VERY HARMFUL AND ELIZABETH KIND OF GAVE UP ON LIFE THE MINUTE SHE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A SERIOUS CONDITION HOWEVER I SHOWED HER IN THE FILE THAT SHE HAD ANOTHER CONDITION CALLED ASPERGERS.  IT MAKES YOU QUESTION HOW SOMEONE CAN ARRIVE AT SUCH A DIAGNOSIS –  PSYCHIATRISTS INTERVIEWED ON CDS AND RECORDINGS I HAVE OPENLY LAUGH AND SAY THERE ARE NO WAYS OF TELLING WHAT CAUSES A MENTAL ILLNESS.   SOME EVEN SAY IT TAKES JUST 2 MINUTES TO COME UP WITH A DIAGNOSIS AND OTHERS SAY THE DIAGNOSES ARE VOTED FOR – THIS IS EVEN M ORE SHOCKING WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE DSM AND SEE JUST HOW MANY DIAGNOSES THERE ARE IN THIS BOOK AND THE FACT THAT PSYCHIATRISTS GIVE THESE POWERFUL MIND ALTERING LSD LIKE DRUGS TO CHILDREN AND I KNOW THIS IS THE CASE FROM MY OWN PERSONAL EXPERIENCE.

AS I HAVE SAID THERE NEEDS TO BE CHANGES AND SOMETHING DONE TO PROTECT THE PATIENT.

Trapped on a prison-like ward where she is under the team’s control, she has no choice and her rights have been stripped from her.  There is an organisation called Rethink and similar one called Mind at local level.   Again these organisations have no powers to investigate abuse to the vulnerable patient under the control of these so called professionals. 

They tried to get rid of me as nearest relative in such a manner that involved phone call after phone call, email after email, threat after threat.   I am not on medication myself thank God!  if I had been then I would have been weakened by all of this.  

The Psychiatrist in charge wanted to override me as mother and obviously the team do not like me because I have been outspoken – outspoken in defence of my daughter who I fully believe has been misdiagnosed.  HOWEVER NOONE IS LISTENING.

The mental  system in the UK offers no choice in care apart from drugs after drugs however the Maudsley have good facilities not available at local level.   I have got the Maudsley to give the supplements from the Orthomolecular Psychiatrist according to his prescription.    Elizabeth told me the other day that one of the main things that have worked for her are the oils.  I brought a collection of oils including Joy to the ward but none of the staff gave her any but they are allowing her these oils and Elizabeth said she finds them calming.     Why cant the NHS provide the electronic cigarettes – they promote non smoking but for mental health patients who are so stressed out by the awful conditions on the acute wards – why are these not provided?    

The fact is there are all these organisations at present but none have any real powers to intervene.

The PHSO and Local Government Ombudsmen have done nothing to put right matters and then where else do you turn to.    Your local MP cannot help and just writes a few letters.  How many times does someone desperately ill because of the effects of the medication have to end up on local acute wards – all the time going downhill and behaviour becoming more and more erratic.  

The whole mental health system is a shambles and needs improving tenfold so patients and their rights are not abused and that professionals are made to be more accountable.  There needs to be a much better system in place as it is NOT working.   

When I have called into Parliament noone appears to be interested and you are treated in a dismissive way.   It is apalling because mental health issues affect others that get more attention such as unemployment and crime.  There is always much publicity in the press about reducing crime, policing, unemployment, and public spending.    Well mental health converges on all of these if not more.   In the community often these patients who have been long term in hospital for anything up to 2 years can become very dependant upon other people and need one to one care.  It is not the best option to have someone home as they need to gain their confidence and become independent.   Having said there there are instances where families cannot have that person home to live because of their behaviour which is very very sad. 

I believe that the minute Elizabeth got put on anti-depressants back at the age of 19 and took herself off them in one go – that was the start of matters and I saw a significant change in her behaviour – in fact she was unrecognisable.   It is since I obtained a copy of Dr Ann Blake Tracy’s book, Prozac Panacea Pandora that I have learned the full dangers of these awful drugs and the first one Cipralix was prescribed by her GP –  immediately her face came out in terrible sores.   I believe Elizabeth was allergic to this drug and was on around 30mg.   You should never ever do what she did and take yourself off a drug in one go.  This can lead to terrible withdrawl symptoms and relapse and relapse I believe is what happened and then worse was to come – one drug after another with label after conflicting label and all the time I am watching her deteriorate and every time on her own accord she tried to get herself off the drugs, this proved impossible.   You cannot take yourself off these drugs by halving the medication or by skipping every other day.   IT SIMPLY CANNOT BE DONE THIS WAY BUT IT IS NOT IMPOSSIBLE SO I FOUND OUT AND DR ANN BLAKE TRACY HAS PRODUCED A CD IN THIS RESPECT AND SHOWS HOW IT SHOULD BE DONE.

So far I have introduced the supplements which the team are actually allowing to be given and some are provided by the NHS.

I have also provided the oils which I ordered from the States and Elizabeth said they WORK!

I am looking to order more of the supplements and have given instructions as she  has a prescription from her new specialist Orthomolecular Psychatrist that I would like to see in charge of her care in future.

I am looking to provide Noni Juice as well as this is supposed to be really beneficial.

Every time I go out shopping I look and see what can I bring to Elizabeth that is healthy as on these drugs they make you want to crave for junk food and alcohol – she was never a drinker before.

Anyway the alternatives do counteract some of the bad effects of the drug and I have also bought the electonic cigarettes.

I have just noticed a very good website – http://endofterror.org written by a patient.  I think it incredibly brave of a patient to speak out as most are too weakened by the effects of the drugs to do this or else too afraid.

I have written to the person running this website and was very impressed.

Do not know what will be the outcome of when I visit at the weekend – that is if Elizabeth wants to see me.  |I am not one to just turn up and force her to see me.   The last time a member of staff was hanging around and she told the member of staff to leave and said “I would like to spend time with my Mum on my own”.  Why cant the team respect this.  I believe that it is the Doctor – the Consultant Psychiatrist who has enforced these rules under S3 as he is totally insecure and paranoid himself.  What is this man worried out?  What does he think I am gong to do?  I wanted to take Elizabeth to two parties –  she would have enjoyed herself and she asked to go to church and was not even allowed outside with me alone. 

I WANT THE WORLD TO KNOW ABOUT THIS ABUSE AT THE ROYAL BETHLEM HOSPITAL.

More and more people are speaking out  – the more the better as far as I am concerned. 

If only these professionals just listened/cared to listen to the patient and communicate properly with the families.

Not surprised to see the First Claimant on court proceedings being none other than her social worker – the social worker I asked to be replaced when I got to hear she had tried to persuade my daughter to take Clozapine against her wishes.  Needless to say all the team did was appoint yet another social worker and refused to replace her so she had 2 social workers!  Anyway she is the only Claimant mentioned on the forms and wants me replaced as nearest relative with her father in relation to a Section 3 the team wished to impose against my daughter’s wishes.  All along she was willing to remain voluntarily and undergo “treatment” – more drugs! under the NHS care system.

You cannot walk out of that ward as it is like a prison camp so she would be going nowhere and this is quite cruel what the team have done and because they do not like me so I feel.

Backed up by a witness statement from an Approved Mental Health Professional of social services form  based at Maudsley I felt I would have no hope.  I tried to explain everything to this person who bombarded me with phone calls stating I would be replaced if I did not agree alongside others all harrassing and bullying me into saying yes.    With two doctors and two social workers up against me what chance did I  have when my daughter clearly said she would remain voluntarily and keep up her treatment – all I did as a mother was once again listen to her wishes unlike the team and it would have taken them time to find a more suitable placement in any case.

I have not got along with the social worker at local level since I  heard about her getting involved in persuading my daughter to take yet more drugs and also the fact she smiles throughout meetings which I find most unprofessional but she is not alone so does the Consultant Psychiatrist and Pharmacist at the Maudsley Royal Bethlem Hospital.

It would have suited them if I was out the way and not nearest relative and I have just written a letter to the doctor at the Maudsley stating that it is a breach of human rights that he is not allowing her to come out with me unescorted even to the church which is in the grounds.    I went to visit at the weekend and was going to take her to some street parties but was not allowed and there was NO escort to come out.  I have just complained to the CQC and PALS office who have not responded to my previous complaints properly.  If something has happened on the ward and the person you care about is covered in bruises are you not entitled to an explanation.  If you get to hear of someone unsuitable visiting who is violent – are you not entitled to be concerned?   THERE IS NOTHING BUT A WALL OF SILENCE.  All you get is one phone call a week which is just a chat but tells you nothing and this is wrong especially when you h ave the consent of the person you care for signed by form or letter and it is wrong that someone should be forced against their wishes to undergo medication and further experimentation under a treatment order that has been forced upon her and me in such a nasty manner.  This is supposed to be a democratic country and whilst I oppose the medication and she was on a huge dosage which they raised at one point to 800mg, things are being done against patients rights and noone could care less and it is no wonder these professionals think they are above the law and can get away with this abuse with patients drugged up to their neck on LSD- like drugs and the drugs themselves can cause the psychosis so I have been told by leading professionals.  I have also seen absolute proof that the drugs cause psychosis by watching the behaviour of Elizabeth.  I wish she had never taken the anti-depressants in the first place.  I am not just speaking from my point of view but have done tremendous research into matters and whilst I am just a mother xperts have told me this information – HONEST EXPERTS.  The majority of psychiatrists cannot be bothered to read up on research papers and look closely into findings as to the safety of the drugs.  The Maudsley do not go far enough to warn people of just how harmful these drugs are. The literature they give to patients does not make any mentioned of the research into these drugs and lawsuits. They affect that person’s physical health after being on them a long time and can kill that person.  Many people trust these professionals I did so myself once but it is only since I have looked into things thoroughly that I know the true and awful facts.

I believe my daughter has been misdiagnosed and the assessment has not been done in a proper decent manner as when you reduce someone too steeply or mix the drugs this can cause psychosis in itself.  IT IS COMPLETELY UNTRUE WHAT IS SAID IN THE COURT HEARING PAPERS THAT I AM PUTTING MY DAUGHTER UNDER CONSTANT PRESSURE TO STOP HER MEDICATION.  The email typed at her scheme was done with me not being around at all – the fact of the matter is that every time it was due to go back to her scheme whn medication was dished out she did not want to go – she said ” you try taking it Mum, it makes me feel terrible”  I listened to her as a mother when she complained of all the terrible effects of these drugs which to begin with were not so evident as they are now – now she has been on them for a long while.  I AM SO UPSET WITH THESE PROFESSIONALS WHO DO ARE PROTECTING THEIR JOBS RATHER THAN CARING FOR WHAT HAPPENS TO MY DAUGHTER WHO IS JUST ANOTHER NUMBER TO THEM AND PROVIDING THEM WITH INCOME.  THEY HAVE GONE OUT OF THEIR WAY TO TRY AND DESTROY THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MYSELF AND HER AND NOW THIS – I AM ONLY ALLOWED ESCORTED ACCESS TO MY DAUGHTER.  

The other thing this social worker wants to control by the sounds of it is the money side of things.  I have put in place Mind and her sister because I am concerned about her future and have set up a discretionary trust fund.  The treating team are treating me like some common criminal when I am looking out for my daughter’s long term financial interests and not taking from her.     If for instance I had been replaced as nearest relative her father does not visit that often because he lives a distance a way but I have mentioned to him and the rest of the family about getting together with the issues of money for her future and they  have not taken up that opportunity to get involved or have their name put down on the fund I have set up for her or anything like this.  I am not looking to take control of everything including finances as they have portrayed yet what has this social worker and social services team done to help my daughter manage with money because at the scheme there certainly was no controls or restrictions which led to her spending on certains things that were ridiculous and not necessary leaving h erself with no money for food.  What kind of care is that and then you get “she is an adult”  – yes she is an adult but there needs to be protection in place and this is where they have miserably failed as I compared this scheme to that run by one through Mind which was brilliant as Mind were working with people to carefully manage their own money.  This has been miserably failed by the local team.

The psychotic behaviour is soley as a result of the drugs which have caused her to have nightmares and suffer hallucinations during the day and she was never aggressive b efore taking anti-depressants/psychotics.  I began to suspect it could be the drugs from the onset but did not know what I know now.

I have made it clear that I wish for my daughter to go to a very very nice scheme away from this area that I have heard about where I believe she will be treated with huge respect and helped in a more peaceful area as I have heard glowing reports about this scheme but I do not know whether this team will listen.  Certainly the hospital social worker who is very very good seems to have taken account of everything and knows how to communicate.  I respect him for that but whether the rest of the team will even bother to listen to this man is another matter.

I will admit to have losing my cool at meetings especially one where the Consultant Psychiatrist refused to listen about a gradual withdrawal – you see it was promised by the leading professor that she would have a drug free period.  You cannot just withdraw someone in a decent and safe manner within 2 weeks by a reduction of 150mg and by doing this and mixing the drugs with another can cause psychosis and thi sis what happened.  Then when that person acts out against the team in any way they get sanctions and punishments imposed upon them and this is what has happened. IT IS WORSE THAN PRISON.  IN PRISON YOU  HAVE MORE RIGHTS.

THE LAST THING I WANT EVERYONE TO WITNESS BECAUSE I KNOW OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE DIED ON THIS DRUG …………………………..IT IS MENTIONED IN THE COURT HEARING PAPERS THAT CLOZAPINE WILL BE GIVEN IF HER SYMPTOMS DO NOT RESOLVE WELL ENOUGH.  THIS IS ABSOLUTE ABUSE AND IT IS AGAINST FDA GUIDELINES FOR THIS DRUG TO BE GIVEN TO A PATIENT WHO HAS A HISTORY OF HEART PROBLEMS IN THE FAMILY.   I WANT EVERYONE TO WITNESS THIS ON MY BLOG THAT IF THIS HAPPENS THIS PSYCHIATRIST, PHARMACIST AND A LEADING PROFESSOR INVOLVED IN PHARMACY ARE THE ONES WHO WILL HAVE KILLED MY DAUGHTER AS THEY HAVE ALL REFUSED AND IGNORED THE DECLARATION I GAVE THEM FOR SIGNATURE AS TO THE SAFETY OF THIS DRUG AND THIS WOULD POINT TO THE FACT THAT THEY DO NOT BELIEVE IT SAFE OR ARE TRYING TO COVER THEMSELVES OTHERWISE THEY WOULD NOT HESITATE TO SIGN IT.  CLOZAPINE IS WHAT THEY SPECIALIST IN AND WHAT THEY HAVE PESTERED MY DAUGHTER ABOUT FROM THE BEGINNING AND EACH TIME AND ALL ALONG AT LOCAL LEVEL SHE HAS FLATLY REFUSED THIS DRUG.   THEY WILL BE BREACHING HER HUMAN RIGHTS AND I WILL GET TO HEAR ABOUT IT EVENTUALLY EVEN IF I AM BANNED AS THE M OTHER FROM VISITING.

THE SOCIAL WORKER HAS WRONGLY ACCUSED ME OF CONTACTING MY DAUGHER BY MOBILE PHONE AND PUTTING HER UNDER CONSTNAT PRESSURE TO STOP HER MEDICATION.  THAT IS A COMPLETE AND UTTER LIE.    I BELIEVE THE SOCIAL WORKER WANTED ME OUT OF THE WAY AND IS TRYING TO STIR UP TROUBLE BY SAYING COMMENTS LIKE THIS WHEN THEY ARE NOT TRUE.   I HAVE NO END OF TEXT MESSAGES FROM MY DAUGHTER WHO LOOKED FORWARD TO MY VISITS BECAUSE IT WAS A CHANCE TO GET OFF THE WARD AND GET SOME MUCH NEEDED FRESH AIR.  THERE WAS NO RISK TO ANYONE’S SAFETY AND UNLIKE AT LOCAL LEVEL SHE WAS NOT ALONE BUT IN MY COMPANY – AT LOCAL LEVEL A SECTION 3 PATIENT CAN ROAM ABOUT FREELY UNESCORTED ACCORDING TO THEIR HUMAN RIGHTS BUT NOT AT THE MAUDSLEY – WHY IS THIS –  OK I CAN UNDERSTAND BEING UNESCORTED IS NOT GOOD BUT THEN IT IS AN ABSOLUTE BREACH OF HUMAN RIGHTS TO PREVENT MY DAUGHTER FROM ENJOYING THE STREET PARTY CELEBRATIONS NEARBY THAT I HAD BEEN INVITED TO BY A FORMER WORK COLLEAGUE.   NO MATTER WHAT THEY THINK OF ME THEY SHOULD CONSIDER MY DAUGHTER AND THE FACT SHE FINDS IT MOST STRESSFUL BEING COUPED UP ON A WARD LIKE A PRISON CAMP. 

If a family are upset or in dispute of a diagnosis or team – you try getting legal support.  It is impossible and the law is stacked heavily against you and the patient concerned and in favour of the doctors who are put on a pedestal and shown utmost respect when all along they are the ones responsible for dishing out powerful mind altering LSD like drugs that have the most serious long term health problems.   A patient  is just another number to them – it would be different if that patient was their child.  

Some professionals try and compare themselves to you as a mother – that is laughable.

Anyway getting back to the legal profession when you discover in the files something serious has happened it is near impossible to find solicitors to act for you.  For those who have sued the drugs manufacturers they usually get a pay-off to silence them.

For those who end up in court for murder, they get let off because they are on these powerful mind altering drugs make them into a dream-like state and they carry out their nightmares.  Sometimes you  hear of cases where a husband murders a wife and they have been devoted to one another for many years – then you may read that person has been left off because that person as a “sleep” condition.   Such conditions are caused by the anti-psychotic drugs and I have seen my daughter in a dream like state during the day and she has told me of the nightmares she has suffered.    This is why people get let off – it is big money to carry on prescribing the drugs rather than banning them.  Ghostwriters are employed and doctors sign off the drugs for safety purposes and then of course the FDA approve them.

Not a word from the FDA or British Pharmaceutical Industry to my letters – this says it all.

So many people are hoodwinked into believing these doctors who are happy to carry on prescribing away because they have a patient for life that way and it provides them with income.

ANYWAY IT WILL BE INTERESTING TO SEE IF THE CQC DO ANYTHING THIS TIME AS THEY DID SEEM RATHER INTERESTED BUT IT IS WRONG THAT THEY POST RATINGS.  I THOUGHT THIS PROCEDURE HAD FINISHED SO THEY SHOULD TAKE THE RATINGS DOWN.  FOR INSTANCE A HOME MAY BE RATED EXCELLENT WHEN IT IS FAR FROM EXCELLENT.  IT GIVES MISLEADING INFORMATION TO THE PUBLIC. 

The team have been keen to look for reasons why my daughter – in fact both of them suffered breakdowns.  The answer may be straight before them.  Noone knows for sure what causes a breakdown however I have seen in three cases in my family this has happened when someone has taken on too much for themselves and become worn down as a result and also, trauma.   Some experts automatically point the finger at home, family and environment.   Yes, sometimes that can be a huge factor but it is usually an event that triggers it.   The loss of someone close to that person,  a terrible incident of rape or abuse, for army personnel, flashbacks of terrible experiences, taking on too much of a challenge – overwork, pressure, expectations etc etc.  For instance some young people become ill at university when they are loaded with work, feel under so much pressure and away from home and family for support.  I personally know of such cases.   

Then comes the cure ……………………………….ANTI-DEPRESSANTS/ANTI-PSYCHOTICS dished out by psychiatrists/GPs.  Some may appear to work to begin with but then comes the terrible realisation that you are stuck and end up feeling worse. You cannot just come off them.  They tell you they are not addictive BUT THAT IS NOT TRUE.  Elizabeth has been told she must remain on them for the rest of her life yet I truly believe she was a victim of crime and did not get proper decent care under the local mental health authority whose Chief Executive has in the past called the care “excellent”  –  I wonder if I was to name the local area how many people would agree with this Chief Executive who was warned to respond to be in a nicer way by the Healthcare Commission.  THE FACTS ARE YOU CAN COME OFF THESE DRUGS BUT NOONE WANTS TO HELP UNDER THE NHS.  THERE IS HELP FOR THOSE ON ILLLICIT DRUGS BUT NOT PRESCRIBED DRUGS EVEN IF THERE ARE QUERIES AS TO THE DIAGNOSES BEING CORRECT OR NOT.   IT IS A VERY VERY CRUEL SYSTEM THAT NOONE WILL STAND UP AND SAY THEY DISPUTE A DIAGNOSIS AND THAT SOMEONE CAN BE MISDIAGNOSED BECAUSE THEY ARE AFRAID OF LEGAL ACTION.

I have been system of complaints so many times and NOTHING has been resolved.   I have only just received a letter from the Local Government Ombudsman in support of the team.   THIS IS RUBBISH – THE REPORT IS NOT WORTH THE PAPER IT IS WRITTEN ON .  How can services be improved if nothing is done.   They need to look at every detail in the file and obviously they do not bother to read the details to come to such a conclusion.   For the most part it is the dismissive attitude of these professionals that is the worst thing and how they stick together.    You get nowhere with a team like this and the team locally are responsible for providing ongoing care for my daughter.   The only way to get rid of such a team is to move and I am no longer happy in this area that is for sure. 

It is not just the mentally ill who are ignored and not listened to as well as their families and carers b ut also the elderly BUT THAT IS ANOTHER STORY.   IT IS A SHOCKING STORY AS WELL AND I WILL BE WRITING ABOUT THIS AT A LATER DATE.  THIS SORT OF THING GETS INTHE PAPERS BUT NOTHING IS EVER WRITTEN ABOUT THE MENTAL HEALTH EITHER BECAUSE THE NEWSPAPERS COULD BE INFLUENCED BY THE PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES OR ELSE ARE THEY TOO AFRAID??  THIS SHOULD BE  OF PUBLIC INTEREST.  IF SOMEONE KILLS AND ARE UNDER MENTAL HEALTH THEN QUESTIONS ARE IMMEDIATELY RAISED – THESE POOR PEOPLE THAT DO THINGS LIKE THIS ARE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF PSYCHIATRIC DRUGS THAT MAKE THEM VIOLENT.

The weather could be better – it is raining today in the UK.  Elizabeth has been stuck on the stuffy ward for 2 days thanks to the Consultant Psychiatrist imposing his sanctions and punishment on accountof her behavioiur caused by his actions in reducing and mixing medications – then he dishes out punishment like to a small child only Elizabeth is 25 years of age and the punishment has also extended to me like a slap on the wrist.

The furtherst thing right now on the minds of these “professionals” are the patients stuck on the boring wards with nothing to do.   There was no flags or evidence of any celebration on the hospital site.  They could have done things nice for the patients – there is money to be spent on printing literature and so forth so why could they not arrange a little street party on the site of the Royal Bethlem Hospital?

Why deprive Elizabeth of going to a street party with me just up the road.   THIS IS CRUEL ABUSE. 

I do not know whether any earlier celebrations had taken place but IT IS JUBILEE WEEKEND AND WITH A TITLE LIKE ROYAL BETHLEM I AM APALLED THAT THIS HOSPITAL IS NOT DOING ANYTHING NICE FOR THE PATIENTS AND THE HIGHLY PAID EXPERTS ARE ENJOYING THEIR WEEKEND WITH THEIR FAMILIES WITHOUT A SECOND THOUGHT ABOUT THE PATIENTS LEFT WITH NOTHING.

Getting back to yesterday my first reaction was one of extreme upset as it takes me a while to get over there and I am devoted to Elizabeth – I had no idea how awful this place was and thought it was a leading hospital that would help give her a proper drug free assessment.   This has not been done properly in accordance with the leading professors written promise. 

No assessment can possibly be done accurately therefore in the circumstances and no doubt the Consultant Psychiatrist will back up the previous team and say YES THE LABEL FITS.  HOWEVER WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER EXPERT’S OPINION – IT IS LIKE THE BULK OF THE TEAM STICKING TOGETHER TO DEFEND ONE ANOTHER AND ANOTHER EXPERT HIGHLY QUALIFIED DISAGREES.    ANYWAY I DISAGREE WITH THEM.   I AM JUST A MOTHER BUT HAVE SOUGHT EXPERT PROFESSIONAL ADVICE OUTSIDE OF THIS APALLING SYSTEM AND HAVE LEARNT THE AWFUL TRUTH – I HAVE INTERVIEWS OF LAUGHING PSYCHIATRISTS INCLUDING ONE FROM THE MAUDSLEY JOKING ABOUT IT TAKING 2 MINUTES TO COME UP WITH A DIAGNOSIS.  YOU SIMPLY CANNOT JUST COME UP WITH A DIAGNOSIS BY OBSERVATION.  THERE NEEDS TO BE PROPER SCIENTIFIC TESTS AND THERE ARE NONE WHATSOEVER.  

IT IS THE DRUGS THAT MAKE SOMEONE PSYCHOTIC.  DR TRACY GIVES THE REASON FOR THIS BASED UPON RESEARCH BY EXPERTS.   THIS RESEARCH IS BEING IGNORED BY PROFESSIONALS AND MOST OF THESE PROFESSIONALS DO NOT WANT TO READ THE FULL FACTS AND THEY JUST CARRY ON DISHING OUT THE DRUGS LIKE SWEETS AGAINST A PATIENT’S WISHES BECAUSE YOU SIMPLY CANNOT JUST COME OFF THEM.  YOU NEED JPROFESSIONAL HELP TODO THIS AND ELIZABETH IS IN THE RIGHT PLACE BUT THEY DO NOT WANT TO HELP AND I WANT THE WORLD TO KNOW THAT ONE DAY GOD FORBID IF ELIZABETH IS STILL STUCK IN THIS CRUEL SYSTEM AND DRUGGED UP TO HER NECK ON CHEMICALS THAT THE TEAM ARE RESPONSIBLE BECAUSE THEY HAVE REFUSED TO LISTEN.

IT IS OK TO DISH OUT HARMFUL DRUGS LIKE THEY DO UNDER THE NHS CARE FOR MENTAL HEALTH PATIENTS BUT THEY ARE NOT TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION LONG TERM HEALTH AND SERIOUS PROBLEMS SUCH AS DIABETES, LUNG, KIDNEY, HEART ETC ETC.   THEY JUST CARRY ON ABUSING PATIENTS WITH THESE POWERFUL MIND ALTERING LSD EFFECT DRUGS AND ARE TOO LAZY TO READ THE FULL FACTS AND RESEARCH.

FOR INSTANCE THE PSYCHIATRIST IN CHARGE OF MY DAUGHTERS CARE REFUSED TO TAKE AN INTEREST IN ALL THE LITERATURE I BROUGHT UP AND CDS ETC FROM DR ANN BLAKE TRACY AND I HAVE JUST DROPPED IN A BOOK BY DR CANDACE PERT CALLED MOLECULES OF EMOTION.  SHE IS ONE OF THE CREATORS OF THESE DRUGS AND NEXT I WANT TO PURCHASE THE BOOK CALLED PHARMAGEDDON BY PROFESSOR HEALY.   THE CONSULTANT PSYCHIATRIST SAID WORDS TO THE EFFECT OF HE HAD ENOUGH READING TO DO AND WAS VERY DISMISSIVE BUT AT THE SAME TIME HE SAID HE WAS LISTENING.   IF HE WAS LISTENING THEN WHY ON EARTH DOES HE NOT COMMUNICATE.  INSTEAD HE HAS IMPOSED SANCTIONS AND PUNISHMENT AGAINST ME BY NOT ALLOWING MY DAUGHTER TO COME OUT WITH ME ON JUBILLEE WEEKEND TO PARTIES AND CELEBRATIONS. 

It is Jubillee weekend, a time for celebration in the UK and I was looking out street parties and things to take Elizabeth to as I only get to see her for a short while on Saturday.

Anyway I turned up at the ward to be told by staff they had been given instructions by the Consultant Psychiatrist that it would NOT be allowed for me to take her out unless someone escorted us.    This is despite the fact that Elizabeth is not in the slightest bit volatile or making threats to anyone.  I FEEL THIS IS PURELY TO GET BACK AT ME, AS THE CONSULTANT PSYCHIATRIST WHO SMILES THROUGH MEETINGS WOULD LIKE TO DESTROY THINGS BETWEEN THE TWO OF US.   THIS SORT OF THING GOES ON UNDER THE BRITISH MENTAL HEALTH SYSTEM RUN BY THE NHS. THERE IS TOO MUCH POWER AWARDED TO DOCTORS LIKE THIS AND SOCIAL WORKERS WHO THINK THEY ARE ABOVE THE LAW.  THE LAW SHOULD BE MUCH FAIRER TO STOP THE ABUSE THAT IS GOING ON. 

Please do not get me wrong and mistake the fact that I hate all of the NHS.  There are some very good professional nurses and even doctors on the surgical wards but under the mental health, there is much abuse going on.  I have lost count of how many times I have heard patients complaining about their rights not being listened to.  JUST BY PUNISHING ME LIKE THIS IS ALSO HURTING ELIZABETH BECAUSE NOONE COULD ACCOMPANY US OUT AS THEY WERE SHORT STAFFED AND ON A VERY NICE DAY AND A WEEKEND FULL OF CELEBRATIONS OVER HERE IN THE UK ELIZABETH WAS LEFT TO BE COUPED UP ON THE WARD NOT EVEN GETTING ANY FRESH AIR.   I DO NOT THINK SHE WENT OUT YESTERDAY EITHER.   WE USED TO GO OUT SHOPPING AND TO THE CINEMA  WHAT CRUEL ABUSE IN A SO CALLED DEMOCRATIC AND CIVILISED COUNTRY.   WHAT IS THE POINT OF PUNISHING A HELPLESS VULNERABLE PERSON IN THIS WAY.    I WENT OUT AND GOT ELIZABETH SOME SHOPPING AND LOST COUNT HOW MANY TIMES SHE RANG ASKING IF I WAS ON MY WAY BACK.   IT IS REALLY HORRIBLE WHAT IS GOING ON.

THE OTHER PERSON WHO IS BELIEVE ALSO HAS GOT IT IN FOR ME IS THE SOCIAL WORKER –  THIS WOMAN LIKE THE CONSULTANT PSYCHIATRIST HAS SMUGLY SMILED THROUGH MEETINGS.  I FIND THIS BEHAVIOUR MOST UNPROFESSIONAL AND I ASKED FOR A REPLACEMENT, SOMEONE WHO TOOK M ATTERS SERIOUSLY NOT AS ONE BIG JOKE AND I WAS ALSO  ALARMED AND CONCERNED THAT A SOCIAL WORKER SHOULD TAKE IT UPON HERSELF TO TRY AND PERSUADE MY DAUGHTER TO TAKE CLOZAPINE.   WHAT ON EARTH IS SO GOOD ABOUT THIS DRUG!!!!  I KNOW OF SEVERAL PEOPLE WHO HAVE SUFFERED HEART PROBLEMS AND IT CARRIES WITH IT 3 BLACK BOX WARNINGS THAT IT SHOULD NOT BE GIVEN TO ANYONE WITH A HISTORY OF HEART PROBLEMS.    HOWEVER, THEY ARE ALL EXTREMELY DANGEROUS DRUGS AND GIVEN TO SOMEONE WHO IN THE FIRST INSTANCE WAS THE VICTIM OF CRIME –  NEEDED COUNSELLING BUT INSTEAD WAS PUSHED BY THESE SO CALLED PROFESSIONALS ON ALL THOSE DRUGS ON MY LEAFLET WHICH AMOUNT TO 11 AND STILL THEY CONTINUE WITH THIS POISONING OF MY DAUGHTER WHO HAS SEVERAL DIAGNOSES.    THE ONLY WAY TO REALLY FIND OUT IS TO OPEN SOMEONE’S HEAD AND THERE IS NO SUCH SURGERY – GOD FORBID.   IT IS ALL BASED ON TRIAL AND ERROR – GUESSWORK AND THIS HAS BEEN ADMITTED TO ME AT LOCAL LEVEL AND THE DRUGS ARE EXPERIMENTED ON THAT PERSON.   SOME WORK TO BEGIN WITH BUT THEN WHEN THEY WEAR OFF THE CONSULTANT PSYCHIATRIST HAS TO LOOK FOR ANOTHER DRUG – THAT IS WHAT HAPPENED TO ELIZABETH ON SEROQUEL – SHE WAS SUFFERING FROM A SERIOUS CONDITION CALLED AKATHISIA – A DIRECT RESULT OF THE DRUG ITSELF.  THE DRUGS ACT LIKE LSD AND CAUSE HALLUCINATIONS.  IT IS EASY TO JUST PUSH DRUGS ON POOR HELPLESS VULNERABLE PATIENTS AND THEN THEY PUT PRESSURE ON THEM BEHIND THE CLOSED DOORS OF THE WARDS.  ONCE UNDER THEIR CONTROL, IT ONLY TAKES FOR THAT PATIENT TO LASH OUT OR SHOW ANY SIGNS OF AGGRESSION AND THEN THEY ARE IN A TRAPPED SITUATION WORSE THAN ANY PRISON WHERE ALL YOUR RIGHTS ARE STRIPPED AWAY FROM YOU.

If you dare to challenge the team then the sanctions apply to you as well like today.    It is absolutely cruel.  While the likes of these professionals do not show their faces on the wards and only visit for a short while it is the families that suffer the impact as they have to listen to the person who is in distress and then families are torn apart by teams who side with a patient or misinterpret what is going on .  Well maybe it is a good thing if a member of staff has to accompany me out.  Then they can report back that I am not some sort of criminal out to do harm to my daughter.   Most of the distress I have witnessed is my daughter is upset at the team themselves for not listening.   At the end of the day I hae stuck up for her like any mother would and this has not made me at all popular with any of the team.  The nurses themselves on the whole I have nothing against but I want things to come back on the people who are harming my daughter and who have neglected her so badly.   I am in particular bitter towards her social worker who I begged to do something to help.   Now they are wasting  over £800 a week on an empty flat.  Surely they do not intend putting her back there because I will surely name them if that is the case.    Something bad happened under that scheme which I said all along was unsuitable.

A Section 3 is for 6 months and I was absolutely bombarded with threatening calls and harrassed left right and centre whilst trying to get on with my work.  They were so desperate to replace me as nearest relative and this was brought about by the person named on the court papers – her social worker and then the team at the Royal Bethlem got involved.   Elizabeth has a right to know what is going on and has blamed me for “putting her in prison”   Unfortunately this “prison” was the only thing on offer as everything else at local level had failed and in particular the scheme and what happened under this scheme that is supposed to  have 24 hr supervision.    If that jsocial worker had tried at least to find somewhere else things may have been better for Elizabeth but she DID NOTHING and I asked for a replacement and instead of a replacement they appointed yet another social worker.    This must all have cost a lot of money.

During the week I visited the homeless –  most of them openly admitted to having suffered from mental illness and all spoke of extreme abuse they have suffered under the system run by the NHS. 

On Friday I had a call from the CQC who are supposed to investigate and to be fair they did show some interest when I told them the full story.   If someone is covered with bruises all  over their face as a relative it is not good enough to be told “I am happy with that” from the lead nurse.     Now they do not want me to have sight of the file – it is obvious they have things to hide.

Once a week I get a phone call and this TELLS ME NOTHING.   If only this Consultant Psychiatrist knew how to communicate himself and pick up the phone for two seconds then there would not be all these problems but he is the one who has imposed the cruel punishment towards me and at the same time he is punishing my daughter.   

There should be greater powers to investigate what is going on under closed doors in a secretive environment such as mental health – this is where the abuse goes on as noone visits hardly and when an investigation team such as the CQC arrive, probably staff are well prepared for them but they have not seen the things I HAVE SEEN or listened to the patients themselves.   

THE WHOLE SYSTEM NEEDS LOOKING AT –  THERE SEEMS TO BE TWO DIFFERENT LEVELS OF SECTION 3 BECAUSE AT LOCAL LEVEL PATIENTS ARE ALLOWED TO ROAM FREELY UNSUPERVISED AND IT IS ALL DOWN TO THEIR HUMAN RIGHTS.     AT THE MAUDSLEY HUMAN RIGHTS ARE NOT CONSIDERED EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE AN ORGANISATION CALLED RETHINK – THEY SHOUJLD BE PRESENT AT ALL MEETINGS BUT I NOTE THEY ARE VERY CLOSELY ASSOCIATED WITH THE HOSPITAL AND PROBABLY GET FUNDING AT GOVERNMENT LEVEL –  THIS MAKES ME WONDER!   HOW OFTEN DO RETHINK ATTEND THE MEETINGS THAT CAN BE SO DAUNTING TO SOMEONE LIKE MY DAUGHTER.  THERE WERE AT LEAST 8 PEOPLE WHEN I CAME TO THE LAST ONE. 

THE POINT IS JUST BECAUSE THEY DO NOT LIKE YOU AS A MOTHER IT IS VERY VERY CRUEL TO PREVENT SOMEONE WHO IS DRUGGED UP TO THEIR NECK ON HARMFUL CHEMICALS AGAINST THEIR WISHES NOT BE ALLOWED TO EITHER GO TO CHURCH OR TO A JUBILEE PARTY WITH HER MOTHER WHEN NO STAFF WERE AVAILABLE.

I TOOK THE OPPORTUNITY TO CALL AND SEE THE LOCAL CHURCHES TO TELL THEM WHAT WAS GOING ON.

WHEN I WAS FIRST TOLD THIS NEWS I COULD NOT GO OUT ANY MORE ALONE WIHT MY DAUGHTER AND HAD TO BE ESCORTED LIKE A CRIMINAL I FELT LIKE MY LIFE WAS NOT WORTH LIVING.  I AM NOT ONE TO THINK ALONG THESE LINES AT ALL BUT THAT IS WHAT THEY HAVE DONE TO ME AND I AM BITTER TOWARDS THIS AWFUL CARE WE HAVE IN PLACE IN A SO CALLED CIVILISED COUNTRY –    THE SECTION WAS PUT IN PLACE IN THE FIRST INSTANCE BECAUSE ELIZABETH WAS TAKEN OFF A LARGE AMOUNT OF MEDICAITON AND THIS WAS MIXED WITH ANOTHER WHICH MADE HER UNSTABLE AND THERE WAS AN INCIDENT ON THE WARD.    THE PUNISHMENT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DISH OUT TO THE CONSULTANT PSYCHIATRIST FOR NOT DOING THINGS PROPERLY – INSTEAD OF REDUCING SLOWLY AND GRADUALLY HE JUST MIXED TWO TOGTETHER WHICH IS VERY VERY DANGEROUS INDEED.   IN THE COURT PAPERS THEY ARE THREATENING TO PUT HER ON CLOZAPINE AND I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW THAT THIS IS AGAINST HER HUMAN RIGHTS.

AS FOR HER SAFETY WHICH IS THE THING THEY WILL ARGUE ABOUT – THEY COULD SAY THEY DO NOT FEEL SHE IS SAFE WITH HER OWN MOTHER –   THERE ARE NO SECURITY TESTS I HAVE NOT GONE THROUGH –  I HAVE THREE SECURITY LICENCES WHICH INVOLVE HEALTH AND SAFETY AND HAD TO GIVE UP MY POLICE TRAINING BECAUSE OF ALL OF THIS.  I HAVE HAD THOROUGH SECURITY CHECKS AND I THINK IT IS BECAUSE THEY ARE WORRIED FOR THEMSELVES.   IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE THE WHOLE SYSTEM COLLAPSES AND CHANGES WILL HAVE TO BE MADE AND I CANNOT WAIT FOR THAT DAY AS CARE SHOULD NOT BE ALL ABOUT DRUG PUSHING – THAT IS NOT THE ANSWER AT ALL ESPECIALLY FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS BEEN ABUSED.

IT IS ALSO WRONG TO ASSUME THAT IT IS ALWAYS DOWN TO THE HOME AND FAMILY BUT THAT IS THE ASSUMPTION AND EASIER TO DEAL WITH – HOME FAMILY AND ENVIRONMENT WHEN IN FACT IT IS THE DRUGS THEMSELVES.  THE DRUGS MAKE SOMEONE VIOLENT AND CONCEAL THE TRUE FEELINGS AND DO NOT DEAL WITH THE SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM.  THE ANGER COMES WITH NOT BEING LISTENED TO AND BEING TRAPPED.   TRAPPED IN AN EVIL SYSTEM THAT NEEDS CRUSHING TO PIECES AND STARTING FROM SCRATCH.

ALL I CAN HOPE FOR IS THAT ELIZABETH IS MOVED BUT IT WILL PROBABLY NOT BE TO THE HOME AREA – THAT IS WONDERFUL!  I WOULD LIKE HER TO  MAKE A FRESH START.   COMING HOME WOULD NOT REALLY BE THE ANSWER BECAUSE  ANYONE ON THESE MEDICATIONS CAN BECOME UNSTABLE –  I DO NOT BELIEVE THE DIAGNOSES AND FEEL SHE HAS BEEN MISDIANOSED AND TREATED IN THE MOST APALLING MANNER.

HOWEVER I AM NOT ALONE AND SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE THAT IS FOR SURE.

I CAN ONLY PRAY TO GOD THAT SHE IS MOVED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AWAY FROM THAT AWFUL PLACE.

THE OTHER THING IS THAT I NOW HAVE PROFESSOR HEALY ADDED ON FB AND HE WRITES SOME VERY INTERESTING FACTS WHICH I SHALL COVER IN MY NEXT BLOG.
